I have had problem of movement in drivers side door from wear. Purchase 2 sets of hinges in hopes that they will fix the problem as I bought thme thinking they had virtually no play in the shaft.. which proved incorrect.
Father who is fairly mechanical in knowledge and stuff, mad enquires about new shafts, bronze cuffs etc to be machined up, just curious if anyone else would be interested as hinge rebuild kits, making the hinges being able to be dissassembled in future unlike the standard ones....

dude, ive done this twice now!!!
except i got really good second hand hinges
toyota have everything you need,
top hinge: $88.58 i think
botton hinge: $72.80
then walk to supa cheap buy a spray can in your colour, sprary hinge
then ring toyota and ask for a hinge spanner, these are about $70, although you can get a ring spanner to do a similar job,
califo rebuilt his for $11.50, just some tungsten bolts BOOYA lol

Yeah I just did this last week with two brand new hinges from Toyota.
They were about the prices quoted above. Hung them from the clothes line and painted them.
Only thing is I pulled off the front quarter guard (that little leaf catcher at the bottom needed a clean anyway) to get to the hinge bolts properly. My dad and I then lined up the door (heavy things when you think about it) perfectly.
I was going to put bushes in the hinges I had etc, but I just don't think it is worth the hassle.
