Job offer dilema! Mon, 03 May 2004 09:49 Go to next message
To contrast Draven's problem, i have been offered a job in sales for which i applied, its within the motor industry which means ill be working in a field that i would like, however i don't think it holds career growth and development oppurtunities.

On the other hand im in the last 6 for another graduate oppurtunity with Coke.

Both jobs have their pro's and con's, but long term what am i better looking at?

short term, i have to make a decision by tomorrow as to whether or not i commit myself to the job offer.

Comments welcome!

coz if it was going to be a while, you could always be an arse, take the position at the car place, see if you like it, and if you dont jump on over to coke

always better to be looking for a job from the security of already having one...

keep fishing for the coke one whilst accepting the sales job. if you land coke, fuck the sales one off. dont think for a second that they wouldnt dump you just as quickly if it was in their best interests.

Second that one.

Got caught in a similar situation and hung out for the second one. Bad move as the next one didn't come up trumps for another 6 weeks ....

choose the one which is more fun for you, gets more money and they won't lay you off in a few months time
