icon5.gif  Clutch Master Cylinder replacement? Mon, 03 May 2004 09:49 Go to next message
With the GT-Four throttle body runners going in, the RAV4's clutch master cylinder is too big (from flange face to the outside edge of the oil canister). This causes one to hit the other, so the RAV4's master cylinder has had to be removed, in favour of something smaller. I need to find one that's 70mm or less from the flange face to the edge of the canister. The entire assembly will have to be recessed into the firewall, but it still needs to be smaller than what's already there.

So far I've found out that the smallest clutch master cylinder that protrudes from the firewall is one from a Nissan SX 200 (83mm). Is there one out of another Toyota that would fit?

Help needed please guys, this project is almost sowed-up.

Well it's better than 83mm... how easy is it to get one of these? Maybe a wrecked one?
