Mon, 03 May 2004 13:32
ok well my name is sam.
i own a ae-92 levin gtv i'm interested in putting on a air pod filter since my friend done it to her mirage and the people who done hers dont know the 4age and that and her job sounds dodgy.
but i have been reading articals and looking out on net but watt i want to know is there is a sensor hooked up to the filter on the 4age bigport and i wanted to know how can i block this up? and put a pod in there.. if i block off the sensor will this cause any proberlems? or can any one who knows how to do this and done this pls let me know lol
i live in south aus. pictures on setup would be good to.
if no one can help would autobahn or car toys do this install for me? or anywhere in south aus?
oks thanks for any help or ideas
hope to get some replys lol
Depending on what type of 4AGE you have it would be either MAP (no silver adaptor on the filter box) or AFM (with).
On the airbox there is a airtemp sensor, another sensor which connects to the aircon (idle control), and one for flow (checks if air filter is clogged)
It might be easy to Wack on a POD. But you possibly can run into Idle problems such as - Fluctuating (going up and down), stalling.
