brake and or suspension upgrade for ta22? Tue, 04 May 2004 04:37 Go to next message
duz anyone know where i can get a proper brake and or suspension up-grade for a ta22 as you know the brake system is about 28 years old!. i would also like to change from drum to disc at the rear wheels.
eg: vented disc, drilled disc, 4 piston callipers etc.
who?, where? what type? cost?
and also with suspension, id like to put wider tyres. (dont want it to rub against struts unit)
thanx!

True true, search is your friend!

There are various front strut and brake or just front brake swaps, often from newer model celica/supra's ..

Don't know if you could convert from drum to disc at the back without swapping the diff - but this is a good idea anyways.. hilux and borg warner (out of a commodore) - you can go for lsd as well then..

if you want discs at the rear you need the corona avante brake setup, to fit them you need to move the shock mounts 20mm inwards. i also have some for sale, minus the calipers
