Selling cars...

Just curious as to how long its taken you guys to sell cars?
In my experiences i've found that its a real pain, i've got my car advertised here, trading post and carsales and am getting almost no reply whatsoever. When i sold my previous car it sold the day it was advertised, however it was a TA22 and theres a bit of a following probably considering the lack of them. My current car is a ST162 and its reasonably priced but almost nothing. I've had 3 people look at it in around a month... seems like there is no market.

Had the same problem trying to sell my AE92 a few months ago...
Went for a month in the local papers, trading post etc. Might've had 2 or 3 calls in all that time. Put it on carsales, nothing for the first two weeks and then *boom* had about half a dozen calls the following week...
I think it might've had something to do with uni or whatever starting up, and the problems with the trains. But anyway sold it for a fair price to the first person who came to have a look...
So patience pays off, I know it's hard watching the rego run out etc etc but you will eventually sell it! And good luck!!!

They guy I bought mine off sold it to me 3 weeks before he intended adverstising!!
He got a free ad on car sales with ad in unique cars, they didn't realise he didn't want it up for sale yet and put it straight on web. I called him 15 minutes after ad went up, and he withdrew ad from both

I'm spewing!! was out last night and got a call from my dad saying that someone had called about the car and left a number so i was all stoked and just called them back this morning only to find that it wasn't a private buyer, in fact one of those places that find cars for people, and when i told them what i was after just scoffed at me, Not Happy worst thing is when they call and they leave a message which has a name and a number, nothing suggesting that they aren't a private buyer.
