1UZ electrical issue Tue, 04 May 2004 15:25 Go to next message
Hello
I am a first time poster, but long time viewer.
I would like to know how the heck to bypass the transmission electrical's so that I may convert my LS400(USA) sedan to 5spd. I have been searching and I hear many things. Pretty much all the people's projects were aftermarket ECU's or Stand Alone's. I wish to continue useing the OEM ECU. There was a fellow that swapped a 1uz into his corolla ae86. He said that he "tricked " his ECU in thinking it was in nuetral the entire time. Any one has opinions on this? The pro's and con's .. con's if any. I bought a second Ls400 for this soul project. Also ... I need more information as to gettig more power from the motor aside from the regular tuneing. Air intake, exhaust, head gasket and ARP head bolts. Any other sites would be helpful.
Thanks
Daiso
P.S. I have looked around alot but I never got concrete information. I am a member of lextreme forums also.
