Cheers Jesse, I'll let you know what I end up doing.
it's going to be a cost vs. gain exercise I think. I have to weigh up what building the T series engine will cost me,against stealing the engine out of my project sprinter and then trying to register the AE86 with the hot 4AG I have planned to slot into that,as opposed to running the stockie to start with, and slotting in the hot motor once it has rego...
sticking with a T series, and having a little more capacity would certainly be nice for driveability day to day,but if it ends up costing me a couple of grand by the time the engine is built and converted to run unleaded, then I'm probably better off swapping to the 4AGE and just running that. we'll see. I'm not going to rush into anything atm. best to keep my options a little open.
the 2TG engine in the car atm is a little tired, but going fairly well. nothing a tune likely won't fix.
I'll see how things go over the next couple of months. I haven't even changed the oil in the thing yet!!! one thing at a time.

sorry to put on pressure or anything but i wanna get this engine together asap, if your not sure about selling the block and pistons thats fine by me if you want to keep them.
im not even sure what they are worth but i'll throw $400-$500 your way for them, thats all i wanna spend on the block and pistons, if your not interested ill hoan my block and buy some 3t pistons and get them fly cut...
thaaaanks, let me know...
jesse.
