Can any Lsd drop straight into the aussie 4ac sprinter diff?
also, would theyre be any cheaper options? ive heard soemthing about hilux diff, but hten i heard about them breaking very easily in hte sprinter.
and 1 more question, why does everyone want to upgrade the rear brakes of hte sprinter?
thanks for replies in advance

No, the JDM LSD centre will not fit. I wish it would!
I can't imagine a Hilux diff breaking very easily with a N/A engine, but I guess it depends how much power you're producing. Is your car N/A or force fed?
I guess ppl want to upgrade 'em so it stops better, but the upside of getting the JDM diff housing and LSD is that disc brakes come as part of the deal.

Samoo,
Let me try and give you a direct answer to your questions:
No, not any LSD can drop into a Aust. spec 4AC sprinter.
You need to find the very rare TRD LSD or a less rare KAAZ
LSD. Stewart Wilkins Racing in NSW may be able to help you.
I don't have their contact details.
Plenty of cheaper options, search this forum. Read. Its been covered many times. The Hilux path is one option. I think you have heard wrong, Hilux axles very rarely break, especially in NA applications. Its the T series axles that twist and/or the diff's that break once you start dropping serious power into your Sprinter.
Everyone wants to upgrade the rear brakes as they have added serious power up front and the driveline becomes the next weakest link in the equation, as well as wanting to improve the brakes overall to match the increase in performance the added power brings with it. So, it stands to reason that if I need a better rear axle in my Sprinter, lets do a brake upgrade at the same time.
Mitch.
