1996 Daihatsu Carade EFI *SOLD* Wed, 05 May 2004 11:45 Go to next message
My friend is selling his 1996 Daihatsu Charade.

1.3L 4 cylinder EFI
5 speed Manual
white in colour
95 000 kms
2nd owner
Has been serviced atleast every 10000kms.
Around 10 months rego (pretty sure)

He is looking for $4100 or very close to that. I'm trying to find a member of the family to sell it to first but doesn't look like anyone is interested.

The car is immaculate..he has had it for about 4 years and looked after it..garaged most of the time, seviced, washed etc.
The guy is not a hoon and it has been just used for honest reliable transport.

Had new front pads about 10000kms ago but hasn't needed any major things at all.

2 new tyres
The only reason for selling is he needs money to finance a unit and will be sharing cars with his gf who has '01 Astra

Doesn't have A/C
and no PS (doesn't need it though)..less things to go wrong

Can I just say that this looks lie a steal? For a car that clean and tidy, the price is very competitive and if I was in the market I would be test driving this arvo. Best of luck with the sale mate.

Yeah - I drove the car last night, it drives really well.
I was trying to sell to someone I know because I know how hard it is to find a decent car like this.

These aren't too slow (I mean not like a bus). There's a granny that lives down the road from me and she's always hammering it. And I'm actually surprised how quick it gets up and goes... Laughing

I actually took one of the daihatsu cuores for a bit of a run and even they are zippy (as long as they are manual) for a 3cyl...

This one's a 4. The 1 litre is a 3 cylinder. This is a 1.3. It does go pretty damn well, has EFI and low kerb weight and no slush box to slow it down.
