As the topic says, iam looking for details all good and bad on an 1988 AE82 CSX Corolla, any details such as engine, rated stock kw, etc, etc. Looking at purchasing one, i have searched but cannot find any real details of a stock. Thanks in advance

an exelent site is:

has info on particular models and years, problems and good points, i used it for reference on my current car.

thankyou for the helpfull feedback Camry, and yes i have searched, all that ever comes up is modified cars, and classifieds, i was looking for something half official

a few people i know own this type of car and so far have had no problems (had good service histories etc) I haven't heard any nasties about the AE82 corollas but don't know for sure what they are like with there problems I asked toyota about info on specs on my sv21 camry not all that long a go and they sent me a sheet with every thing that was avalable brand new for the sv21 camrys and specs for the motors power i cant remeber how i asked but i think it was over toyotas web site I sent them an e-mail asking them a question about it and they sent my email to the customers realation department and then they returned my email and a question i asked about 3S-FE's in celica's about a week later, i had the same trouble trying to find out this info by serching google but i'd say asking toyota would be your best bet of finnding out how much power the AE82's had as for reliabailty ask the NRMA they would know? but being a toyota I'd say it'd would be reliable if its been well looked after

Im not sure how much power a CSX would have but im pretty sure it would have a 4-AC engine so mayb you could search some some specs on that.

did a bit of reserch and all i can tell you that apperently these twin cam motors have about 86kw of power in them I tryed posting a link to the site but it didn't work must of typed it in wrong or something? the name of the site i found off google was www.carsales.com.au hopefully you have more luck trying to get to the site then what i did a second time
