What temp switch Thu, 06 May 2004 11:38 Go to next message
What temp switch would I need to put on a 2TG for the thermo fan? And would it be a problem if I fitted the switch on the thermostat housing?

Just use a 'normal' Toyota one, drill and tap it into the thermo housing, and remember that it works 'backwards' - much neater than one of those hideous davies, craig ones!

Yeah I dont like the bulky Davies craig ones either. What temp does a 'normal toyota' one switch on at?
I just want to buy a temp switch from the local auto shop.

I purchased an echlin one to suit a ford laser($35)
End up putting it in the top of my radiator & it seems to work perfect.
It comes on @ 90 and off @ 85, the thermo only turns on when my car idles for about 10 mins
