For Sale
My beloved Trueno.
Modifications:
Engine
AE92 4AGE
HKS 272 Cam with Adj Cam Gears
RS*R Tuned length extractors
2.5" Exhaust extractors back - No Cat, No baffles
2x45mm Dual Solex Carbs - Note: EFI fuel pump and lines are still in the bay if you want to convert back to EFI
HKS inlet manifold
Suspension:
Cusco Coilovers - Height and damper adj
Cusco rear strut brace
Drivetrain:
Cusco 2-way LSD
Racing g/box. I was told it's dogged, but I doubt it.
Interior:
The interiors pretty beat up, but it's in at the moment, however I usually run it with no interior. If you really want a slick interior, I suggest transplanting a Sprinter one.
6 Point Roll Cage - Not installed currently.
Blaze gearknob
Aftermarket pedals
Exterior:
BB Garage front bar
TRD copy rear fibreglass wing
Panda paint
Watanabe 14" Superlights - Black
Comes with:
4 new tyres (not fitted)
Trueno GT Apex Stickers (Not applied)
Fujiwara Tofu Shop Sticker (Not applied)
1" 'Rego' muffler and 4" 3A Racing muffling
Problems:
Crack in paint near fuel filler
Currently has no air filter, you will need trumpets or a 'ramflo' style filter as the carbs are side draft.
Interior is pretty rough.
No Registration - I have import papers for this purpose however. This car was imported under the 15yr rule. It DOES NOT require side intrusion bars, high mount brake light, catalytic convert and all that other shit. Only requires a child restraint and lap sash rear seatbelts.
I simply don't have the money to fix up these problems to register it as a road car.
This car really gets moving for an NA and nothing can come close to the handlng.
Pictures
I can get pictures of the engine bay and interior if you want.
Price:
17000 ono
I can be contacted on 0410 613 331 or email me at mark.lightfoot@hic.gov.au
I am in ACT

why doesnt it need this stuff? in SA every 15yo passenger import needs all that... so its not registered yet?
very nice car though

Hey, here in ACT, pre 86 cars regardless of origin (import or not) do not require these modifications completed.

if you dont sell the car in the coming months and really need the cash urgently and are desperate, im very interested in the engine + extractors + your rear coilovers + lsd.
for those who live in nsw, side intrusion, rear seatbelts and child restraints are required by law - regardless of age.
autosport engineering in kirrawee does these mods + blue slip for $1500 ae86 flat-fee. OR you can get 2 x aus 86 doors, and fit them for the inspecion and only need child retraints + seatbelts in the rear.
this car is worth between 15000-17000 but with extra 2500 you can have probably one of the nicest ae86's in aus!

sorry to go off thread, but i think you'll find that intrusion bars at least, will be required.
catlytic convertor, etc, not. but definately intrusion bars. it's an ADR from September 1974. Ever since some dick on a motorcycle 'decided' to ride through a mercedes, killing the driver...but the rider lived
back to topic...good luck with the sale

for that price you'll maybe get a clean 4age sprinter, probably no LSD, BUT some suspension mods.
Nothing show stopping (i.e. top dollar spray job, brand name parts)
rock on.

Side intrusion bars i believe will HAVE to be done for compliance. Someone was also telling me that a Cat will also have to be fitted for compliance. Mine was complied not to long ago and it required intrusion bars fitted.. Any buyers budget atleast $1k for compliancing costs, engineers etc. Plus onroad costs.. Thats $17k + $1k + onroads (Vic approx $50 RWC + $522 REG) So in vic your looking at least $18,572 on road.
But if its in good condition.. This car in japan would cost you $10k alone + import fees + compliance + onroad costs.
