Hey All,
What price would I be paying for extractors for a 5M or any 6 cylinder car?
Cheers

Probably looking at a few hundred dollars - thing is, you're probably not going to turn the 5ME into a neck breaker this way, you'll tend to chase your tail spending $ and seeing little gain.

and the factory job is less likely to contribute to drone?
...well, i'd like to know what makes the extractors-and-2 1/2 system on my newly acquired 5ME powered MA61 make so much goddam noise at light load... wouldn't be so bad if had under-body neons and full-body-length stickers to go with the noise, but this is a mostly stock car...

probably because the mufflers have had all the packing toasted out of them - try taking them off and yelling into them, if they sound like they echo etc. even slightly, they're well knackered and should be replaced.

5m-e stock manifold the twin pipes exit into a single 2.5 inch pipe, strait thru 2.5 inch muffler , all this needed was an extra muffer up the back and it would of been decently quite

yeh - that's nice without being overly loud - but i quite like the quiet purr of turbo RA40 and would like something similar on the MA61 (without resorting to attaching a turbo to it)
maybe the resonator gets replaced with actual muffler?
it's a daily driver, not hi-po car so a little exhaust restriction isn't going to bother me. plus ... am on a budget.
