hey
yeah the PM system on the new forums is a bit weak theres nothing to catch your eye so i didnt notice them...
ok ive got some lowered king springs in it, king specify that the lowered springs will be 30mm lower than factory but i found they seem to be much lower 40mm maybe more especially at the front.
there isnt much suspension travel anymore but the car has a much meaner street presence and handles so much better than the factory paris dakkar suspension.
yep they are stock celica rims, i had the same idea as u, i wanted something that looked stock yet good, so i got a set of those rims $10 each at the wreckers and took them to a mag wheel place and he welded up a set of 7 inch wide ROH chrome rims to the centers cost about $600 not including new wheel nuts and locks.. now a mate has told me that u can have the option of welding the stock celica 14" centers to a 15 inch diameter rim, i dunno how much it would cost tho (also remember if u do the 15 inch thing the inside of the rim will still be 14 inch so if your planning BIG brake upgrades be careful)..
the tyres im running are kelly chargers 215/60/14, on certain angles the sidewall looks WAY too fat if i knew this i would have tried to find 50 or 55 series..
anyways a 215 fits the rim very well and it only scrubs on full lock on the back plastic guard on the inside of the wheel arch i suspect that if u get a lower profile tyre it may not scrub..
hope this helps and good luck
by the way have u posted pics of your car up?

ok, thanx. I havent got any photos of my car on the net because i am using TAFE computers and dont have a scanner. I am going to change my stud to a commodore or ford pattern and run a set of ford or holden police chasers on it (15"). As for springs i rang K-Mac and they will send me new springs to my specified height. The K-mac springs are $165 a pair. I would like to go for stock celica rims but canot afford to get them widened (first year apprentice wages arent real hot ) so if i use ford/commodore chasers i can run 205/55/15 tires on the stock wheels. Thanx for the help, ill try and get a pic of my car on here somehow, cheers, chris
