i want to rebuild one of my 1ggte engines and was wondering if there was a rebuild kit available instead of purchasing all the individual parts from toyota. any info greatly appreciated

A replacement 1G-GTE is only about $750. Do you really have to rebuild?

i am on engine number 5 and sick of replacing them we are running these engines fairly hard.and you cant get a descent 92 model engine as you could when i did the conversion in 94.if i build a fresh one i will have one i can trust and know it will last.

Dang! OK..
Have you tried Penrith Toyota? Or was it Castle Hill Toyota?
One of those two have a guy who is pretty good at tracking down things for Jap import engines.

its castle hill toyota. i have purchase stuff from them before but i havn't asked them about a rebuild kit. i will give them a shot.thanks
but if anyone has any other ideas please let me know
