ok i want to dump a 3S-GTE into my corolla. At the moment its gota 4A-FA in it. And this is what i found on the engine conversion article.
I just want to know will they fit into the same brackets as they are now or will there have to be work done to the brackets and where they're place and all that.
And also what else would i need to do to the car the have this complete conversion
thx

I hate to break it to you, but this would be an *insanely* hard conversion to do.
You may find some help if you do a search, but it's unlikely many people have done this.
I can tell you that the engine mounts won't fit, as you have an 'A' series engine, and the 3S-GTEs are 'S' series.
It is of course, possible, with the latest corolla, but you'll have to talk to neal bates about that one Last i checked he doesn't roam these forums ...

The 3sgte conversion has been done many times before. I can't comment on how hard it is, but I wouldn't say its insanely hard. The motor itself will fit in the bay, but new mounts have to be fabricated. Check this thread for more info:

For around $8k to $12k you could have one running in your car. A 4agze conversion could cost around $3k to $4k if you do it yourself, including cost of halfcut.
Whichever conversion you do, make sure you have spare cash, because things can go wrong and you'll be stuck without a car.

Insanely hard in regards to the amount of work required...that's what I meant Not as in difficulty compared to other conversions.
Converting to a 4A-GZE is a good start and that can then be converted into a 4A-GTE quite easily as well...I would look at that for a corolla - depending what corolla it is, of course!
3S-GTE is a bloody strong motor and makes good power so go for it if you have the cash!

in no way will a 3s gte converison be cheap.. especially if u dont do it urself
just as a note.. a 1jz gte into my car cost near 10 000 dollars
your better option would be going a 4agze
