Model Railway Layout. Tue, 11 May 2004 04:35 Go to next message
I built this years ago when I was at School still (and before I had a licence), However now it sits in my garage in the place where my celica should be and needs to be gotten rid of.

I was standing over it on the weekend with a hammer and chisel bent on stripping it back to base, and selling the parts, But I just can't bring myself to do it Embarassed

I spent my HSC study time helping building it and I can't destory it.

Rather than destroy it is any body interested in a layout, for the kids, yourself whoever. I'd rather see this go to a good home than the tip. It's N-Scale ant the whole layout measures about 27ft x 12ft. I can post more pictures if there is interest. Make an offer.

OK... Somewhat surprisingly I've had alot of response to this through PM's, rather than answer them all individually with the same thing. I'll post answers here.

A brief History of the Layout. It is a scale model of the town of Wallerawang in NSW (Near Lithgow) I was in a Model railway club Embarassed and me and two others from the club spent a weekend there photograhing the buildings in the main street and surrounding infrastructure and hand built the buildings to match the photos. The Layout was an exhibition layout for the club before being decommissioned and sold (to me for $500) with alot of parts missing. I spent some time rebuilding it again to run trains on for personal use.

I've since sold all of the rolling stock and engines (trains) so it is just the layout that I'm offering. For those of you who wanted to know a price, I paid $500 for it and got it back to a running state (I will need to relook at its condition currently as it was transported to my new place 2 years ago and I haven't used it since but will get it going again if there is a need)
In reality somthing like this is worth what someone is willing to pay for it. So I'm looking for offers to sent her to a good home.

I shall set the layout up and get photos of the whole layout it is quite big. but it does keep kids amused for hours (big and small alike Razz )
