so what kind of cams should i be looking at, and where abouts do i buy them?

keep below 8mm lift and 264 degree duration and the stock ecu should just run it, any more and you're treading on thin ice with out programmable injection.

Check here (http://www.billzilla.org/ ) for what size is recommended and the power you can expect, then buy them here ( http://www.wadecams.com/ )

according to bill, i can use either 256 deg cams or 264 deg.(but no higher).

i guess my next question is, if i told wadecams that i need a set of 256deg cams for my 4age bigport. would that be all i have to say in order for them to get to work?

isnt there a difference between the intake and exhaust cams?

want a cam profile?

http://www.club4ag.com/faq%20and%20tech_pages/4A-G E%20camshaft_story.htm

makes for good read. also gives specs - which wade would need on customs.

ps: wade rock.

Depends Razz You would have to ask a specialist. And depends where max lift occurs on the camshaft.

I imagine figures around about 25 degrees BTDC on intake opening, and about 45 degrees BBDC on exhaust? (close to 55 degrees overlap)...

Note : once you start getting bigger cams with more overlap you will more than likely screw your cars' emissions unless you grab a progammable ECU or a remapped ECU.

(edit : typo)

100/110 means that the intake is at full lift 100 degrees after TDC, and the exhaust is at full lift 110 before TDC.

(right?)
The 100/110 would give a fair bit of overlap and would be slightly dopey down low...would give best *power* though.

I retract my earlier statement -> personally I would set it to 100/100 (intake opens 28 degrees BTDC, exhaust opens (edit)48(/edit) degrees BBDC) and then use an adjustable cam sprocket to get the fine details sorted out.
