You'll probably find a AE86 somewhere but it might be a little higher than 5 grand

Hachi (not hutchi) means 8 in Japanese

Roku mean 6 in Japanese

Hachi Roku = 86, or AE86!

Just a bit of info for ya Chris Very Happy

i have a ke70 corolla with a 5k engine in it and a couple of other little mods. Engine is in VGC but body isn't too great. Only want $1350 for it and it has rego. and safety certificate. Could easily make it a drift car with another couple of grand. suspension, locker etc.

If it is drift only, try any RWD corolla, celica or T18 and lock the diff (can even swap back to an open if you ever need). Make up for lack of power with skinny tires. I understand it may not be what you are after in a drift car, but it is a very cheap start. You can always do an engine swap later (in which case consider AE71 since 4AG(Z)E is not too hard).

Good luck
Hen
