MA61 at local wreckers yard Wed, 12 May 2004 02:45 Go to next message
Hi guys - theres a gunmetal blue ma61 in a local wreckers yard - cars 95% complete - as is the interior - ( blue black )

front drivers seat is sloghtly torn - it has no stereo , or steering wheel , but the rest seems to be there

All 5 14 x 7 factory alloys wheels - only 3 centres

its a 5me manual

the bodys rough , the rear hatch is rusty , but it still has all the fender flares intact.

If anyone needs some parts let me know

Hi Stuart,

I am a friend of Jeremy Marsh. I am trying to find a rear blind from am MA61 along with the cover on the right rear passengers door trim.

If this is not clear could you call me on 02 6265 1242 and I can clarify.

Could you get prices and advise me.

Thanks.

Phil

The rear blind you can get off a Celica xA6x coz the boots are similar and the blind are the same...

Can you have a look at/advise me on the condition of :

  • two upper dash vents (a little smaller than a credit card (one on each side)

Ill see how all of these bits are asap ..

The guys at the wreckers yard mentioned they wanted to get it back on the road - but honestly its better off being parted ..

For info's sake - its the same colour as Norbies grey one - not the dark gunmetal grey

The car is here in colac

FYI and not wanting to detract from this ad. There is an ad in Melbourne Trading Post last week wrecking MA61, private person he's got 2 mainly complete stacked cars near Moorabbin (I rang and asked).

FYI its a long trip to Colac (although there is a Hill Climb scheduled at Mt Leura at Camperdown this or next weekend, make a nice drive!!, from Melbourne that is)

Ill pass on all enquiries , though if ZZT wants the full car as a spares - hes got first bid ( first post etc etc )

As before , the guys at the wreckers yard said they MAY attempt to get this car running again ( due to its rarity )

They said to give them a day or two to decide its fate.

Ohhhh!!!! Even the right colour interior!

What sort of condition are the seats in - apart from the tear, are they pretty good, or just so-so? Can you please ask how much they want for the seats, and passenger-side mirror? If it works out (and you could be bothered) I'd glady pay you for your trouble.

I'd love the whole rear k-frame too (disc to disc with lsd), but I don't see that as being realistic Smile

the seats were a bit grubby and worn - only tear i could see was in the drivers one ..

they had the black backs and the blue veloury type stuff ..

Rear seat was grubby but in good condition ..

Ive asked the guys to seal the car up out of the weather until they decide what they are doign with it too ( were expecting rain )

Thanks Classique71. I've been chasing some of these seats for a while, so if you think they would clean up okay (would you put them in your Ra65 with pretty much mint blue interior if you had one?). When are you going back next?

stu!!

If the speaker grilles are blue, i need the left hand passenger one

Also, I really need the foglights- I have a thread in here specifying that my foglights are different- one is cloudy, the other is clear. If you could get either a clear or a cloudy one, or both, that'd be awesome...

also, if the boot carpet is in good condition, and molds well over the tyre, and fits the boot etc, ill take it

if the handbrake is blue, and has no marks/holes in it, ill take it

and if theres still badges on it (mainly any celica-supra ones) I'll take them, as I will need them for my sports steering wheel project....

thanks mate

I'll pm you the list in clearer form Very Happy

Np - ill try to compy a list of " requests " fornthe persons who have put first dibs on stuff so far ..

I dont know if ill be handling the BIG stuff like diffs and engines myself - but im sure if the cars parted i can work on the little stuff ok .. Big suff ill directly refer the wreckers guys to the folk involved . ( im not handling HUGE freight issues - too many dramas there )

Ill have to tear the car down in their yard - as i have no space here to part out a car ..

guys just letting you know an offer was made for the complete car ..

Ive passed on a list to the person buying it for the parts you all listed on here

I was going to get it myself + strip - But ive had major issues with the Gt4 , and didnt get time to follow this up quick enough.

The Drivetrain and wheels have been claimed - the rest of the body i dont know about as yet ..

Ill keep chasing up what i can.

Sorry guys - But wreckers go for a complete sale preffered over bits and pieces as we all know
