What state has the worst drivers?

I have lived in QLD NSW and now VIC,and my pick is VIC,for the following reasons:
complete inability to comprehend intersections, cars will que infront of you deliberatly.
U turns:where do i start? expect one at anytime and no one seems to know how to wait for traffic to clear before throwing one.
Never trust the green man:as a pedestrian never trust the green man as 99.9 percent of the time 4 or 5 cars will cut through the red light with no consideration.
Hook Turns: they should be outlawed alltogether!! adds to the above mentioned schemozel at intersections.
General timing/miss judgement: i know this is a problem across the country but if you actually drive long enough in Melbourne it becomes predictable that the person infront will pull out infront of you on nearly every occasion.
No blinkers: I dont think they are fitted on cars down here
Parking: pulling into a car spot/or even just pulling over and leaving half the cars asss hanging out.
And the worst thing of all!!!
people who do somthing stupid,so you beep them and they then beep you back...ahhhhhhhh...
anyway I know all of the above mentioned things are rampant in all other states however the sheer frequencey has blown me away...
Whats everyone elses opinion.

not this topic AGAIN.
some people (from other states) dont like adeladie drivers because they dont let you in if your trying to merge.
if your one of these people i think your a moron, either plan your journey ahead and be in the right lane, or wait till traffic in the lane you want to enter has gone by slowing down. dont expect to go down an empty lane, then realise your in the wrong lane and try and cut into my driving space, i planned my trip and my braking distance, and i dont need some dick pushing in at the last minute.

i agree lang...plan your merge in advance...how hard is it to make an observation of the road ahead, behind & to the side and figure out when to merge. What gets my goat though is on those "lane ends merge right" instances, its the car already in the correct lane that has to give way. Theres one merge onto ipswich rd off evans rd (for u brissy ppl) & no one lets you in...theres only about 15m of lane before you HAVE to merge
damn inconsiderate drivers...you shoudl treat others as you would wish to be treated
but yeah getting back on topic the only other state i've been to is nsw...all i can say is sydney drivers are teh suck

when it comes to merging,,and this is in the case of traffic jams because of bottle necks and the traffic has come to a crawl,it would be easy if everyone just followed the simple 1 for 1 rule, let one car come in off the merging lane infront of you,you go ahead and the car behind you does the same...simple.this would increase traffic flow ten fold...

Merging exaclty, how much does that shit me off. You are lined up at the traffic lights in a continuing lane but just as you move off you see dickheads racing down the ending lane just to push in further ahead. Grrr

i agree riceburna...that would be ideal...and it does work in certain situations...for example the freeway onramp at kessels rd. But in the instance i referred to that stretch of road quickly comes down from 100 to 80 and hits 70 just as you merge...you're also coming up from below them so with only a few meters to merge you cant see anyone else until its almost too late
lol, callifo i do that sometimes...but only if the driver in front is a real tool. I prefer to be at the head of the pack rather than boxed in somewhere in the middle...some people cant even read speed limit signs
ok so maybe brissy drivers suck too....but i live in sunnybank & i blame most of it on old asian drivers who think they own the road and dont have to check their mirrors before swerving into your lane etc etc (insert multiple dangerous scenarios). That said in not racist or anything...just an observation

if traffic is slow and someone is turning off a sidestreet i ALLWAYS let people in.
however is someone deliberatly drives down a terminating lane that is empty to try and cut infront of everyone else that is allready waiting i wont let them in. i dont see why someone should get to jump the queue, its no differnt that if i was waiting at the bank and someone tries to cut infront of everyone else in the line to the front of the queue, ill tell them to get fucked and its no different on the road. common decency does not just become null when u step inside a vehicle.
if your saying im a gimpy driver and moronic youd be sadly mistaken

As I understand it, WA does. When I went to sydney I was surprised that people could actually merge. In WA people treat it as an excuse to try and get in front of everyone.. which means everyone sitting alongside each other trying to get that one car length in front and having to slow everyone else down to 30km/h as they realise they've run out of road and have to dive on the brakes and swing in behind them. I have once actually been overtaken by a bicyclist while waiting for all the bright sparks to merge on Reid Hwy in a 70km/h zone. God help you if your a motorcyclist.. "I didn't see him.."
I was also driving down the slip lane to turn lift off reid hwy the other day and as my bonnet was almost level with some old farts corolla bumper .. he decided to flick on his indicator and swerve over .. I did an emergency stop and flicked my lights at him, and gave him some evil looks at the lights.. and what did he do? wave it off and laugh at me. Down comes the window and a lot of expletives. I usually don't lose my temper over road incidents but this was blatant ignorance and complete disregard of the potential rammifications of not paying attention on the roads.. it's a PRIVILEDGE to hold a license and drive on public roads. There's a lot of dickheads in mums commodore on P plates pretending they are skaife or brock that give the rest of us who choose our times and places to semi-responsibly have a little fun on the roads where it won't hurt anyone (not out and out racing) a bad rep - don't be tarred with the same brush
- CHOOSE YOUR TIME and place, doing burnouts at the drive through to impress schoolgirls is not going to help anyones image,
- avoid the bling.. if you want to drive, you don't need four exhaust tips 20" rims with the wrong offset etc
don't speed and be responsible when your not 'trying it on'
I'm not saying your all like that but geezus .. someones gotta say it - you can have your fun when the time is right and be a good, safe driver the rest of the time
after all - you should be watching what the potential idiot in the next lane is doing

Hook turns are fine, they're only bad if you dont know how to use them (like nearly everything else in life)
And what suburb you in?
Because i dont seem to encounter any of your examples (except for 4wds driven by women, but thats expected )

Adelaide-and live here.
I used to be offended when people said that. However, I moved interstate (sydney), and then back again, and I now understand. Everyone is in their own little world and dont' understand basic road rules........

Adelaide must get the award - I have never been there, but I deal with them in business most days of the week
Seems from above posts that they are too sensitive to make rational daily driving decisons and that they also seem to think that it is their job to determine who's allowed to merge when. J/K.
I cannot stand it when people stop to let other people in (Sydney) when it interrupts traffic flow. If your lane runs out, then it is your job to give way. To stop and let someone in (their lane has a parked car etc) is about as logical as stopping for a green light and is bound to cause traffic problems (if not an accident).
When it comes to merging - if somebody pulls ahead of me to improve track postion, then that is fine (maybe they have a big emergency or problem that I am unaware of). To speed up as soon as they put their blinker on and try and cut them off is a shit go (central coast).
Oh - pushbikes that you pass and then they ride back by you at the lights again Sydney.
