What's this sh*t?

Just pulling the water pump to head pipe off my 20 valve and there's this gunk in there. It's a semi sludgy yellowy brown colour and it's getting me worried. Just got the engine off SSS about a week ago. Could this just be from the engine sitting for a long time? Or is it perhaps oil mixed in with the coolant?
I've got a couple of pics, but can't figure out how to get 'em up on here.
Whaddya reckon?
Cheers.

i just pulled mine off yesterday and it was bone dry... inside the pipes n that was normal like they flushed it out or something but when i took the hose off there was all this white powder like stuff...
im just going to fill it up with water run it for the first 10 minutes on idle then flush it out and fill it up with coolant after i check for leaks...

They told me they had 'checked' the engine. I dunno exactly what that entails, but it could be that they ran some shit out of a container that they never clean through it for cooling while they did whatever they do. Far out! I just wanna put the friggin engine in! Anybody else got any other ideas as to what this mysterious shite may be? Either that or tell me how to put pics up here so you can see for yourselves.
BTW, I just pulled the water pump apart and while I was expecting to see a whole load of this stuff mangled around the blades, there was none, but a little puddle of it in the corner.

I had the same thing in one of my old cars when it blew its head gasket. Oil gets into the water and gets so hot that the oil and water kind of fuse together to make this disgusting brown yoghurt looking stuff

chemi-weld isnt dodgy shit at all! we use it in our race motors when we first run them in to make sure every thing seals. at 80k an engine we dont put dodgy shit in our engines but yes it can be used to prolong a leaking head gasket. you prob find its from the head as its been sitting dry for awhile and its alloy. just put the engine in and run it. if theres a prob im 100% sure jeff or joe will fix the problem.

Thanks guys,
I just want to set something straight - I have no problem whatsoever with SSS and Joe has been awesome to deal with. I spoke to him yesterday about my concerns and he is replacing the engine.
I'm sure the engine is fine, but would rather get an engine that I'm happy with to start with.
Just don't want anyone to get the wrong impression that I'm giving SSS crap or trying to give them a bad rep. They have always been extremely good to deal with in my experience and perhaps I should not have mentioned the business name in the first place!
Cheers.
