ok, had an apexi pod filter delivered today, and I'm wondering what you guys reckon about stainless vs plastic intake pipes? I have no concern at all for bling factor, so I just want to get an idea on performance differences, and whether the stock jza70 intake can be modified to house a pod filter on the end

Plastic is lighter, cheaper and easier to bend (just buy or use a heat gun ) and can be painted to suit and seals well with the right glue.

Stainless = looks and cost. Don't bend well with heat gun

What he said + plastic tends not to soak heat. Some plastics may not survive the engine bay temp.
