As for colour, I have no idea as yet

The dizzy has been blanked off so there is no problem there
Its funny you mention the engine bay because I only started this thread as a shit stir. I was waiting for someone to say it looks like shit cause I haven't had the car painted, or wheres the radiator and all the other stuff. But no one started anything
But oh well, ya get that
Oh and the reason that the car has not been painted already is, I have been doing some serious body mods. It would be pretty stupid to paint the car and then have to cut more metal out of it
And nothing else is fitted around the engine at this time because I have the thing in and out every five minutes.

shane mate, not my job to judge the progress of your porject mate - as far as i'm concerned i reckon it looks great - the engine is sitting pretty - the mounts look spot on (correct me if i'm wrong but the rubber insulators look like stock ta22 mounts) everything looks shmick.
and yeah, re: painting the engine bay if the motors in and out every 5 minutes paint it LAST - believe me i pained mine FIRST and then did my conversion and, well now it needs repainting actually needs doubally repainting coz i changed the color of my car.
good work mate!

Grega the rubber insulators are indeed stand TA22 ones
I should have my Hilux diff assembled and ready to bolt in this week or next week at the latest. Then the radiator will be made and some cooling lines to suit.
The intercooler requires some more metal to be cut at the front and then it too will be fitted to suit.
Then I have to do all the wiring and see if she starts
The main thing thats holding me up is the front brakes. Its seems as though no one can get single piece rotors undrilled.

shane you've probably got this covered, but, have you drilled holes inside the head to allow for the oil to drain back to the sump - IIRC the 3s series sit on a bit of an angle when installed in a FWD setup - i was reading somewhere about someone who installed one in a RWD setup who did this.
i should be able to find the article if you are interested.
