RA65 Exhaust fit on ra40? NEED TO KNOW ASAP!! AND RA65 parts 2 go>? Mon, 17 May 2004 10:56 Go to next message
Hey, i got a mate who trashed his ra65 and he had a 2 month old 2 1/4 inch lukey exhaust, wickid 3.5 inch tip racing exhaust and sounded awesome on his 22r.
He says if it fits my car i can have it for like...really cheap, 50 bux or so.
I want to know does anyone know if the lengths etc will fit an ra40? how much have the undercarriage and exhausts changed from the ra40 to ra65?
Ive got 1.5 meter extractors aswell so is anyone in the mood to lend some knowledge?
Also, if anyone is interested in ra65 parts, coz there is a complete car wrecking, i might be able to get bulk photos and stuff of parts if peopel want any.
Steve

I think most early toyota share the same basic shape its just the mounting points that will need changing and also maybe the tailpipe depending on the length of the boot

RA65 is IRS RA40 is solid rear axle, no it wont fit without mods.

EDIT: put the $50 towards a welder and make your own system from mandrel bends, eazy to do a 2.5 inch system on a MA45/RA40!

Buy it for the muffler, and have new pipes made up by an exhaust shop, this will be your easiest option!

Considering i have a standard exhaust 1 1/4 i think....
But how would that sound with the sports muffler?

No, do it properly, save for the new 2.25" pipes. Your standard system will only be 1.75".
