AW11 4A-GZE into a AE82/92

I'm just wondering what modification is required to get a GZE from a AW11 into a AE82/92 and roadworthy. I've got a damaged AW11 with a running engine, and the most cost effective solution is to transfer the engine to a corolla. I understand there is some modification to be done as the gearboxes are different, so i was wondering if i need a new gearbox, or if the corolla box is suitable?

is the can an import aw11 ze? or a local car converted to ze? (t-bar?)
need to know which gearbox you have. (could be either c52 or e51)
ps i'm after a few bits still for my mr2 - maybe pm or e-mail me & i' can probably run through the gearbox mods etc required to get this all running

t-bar roof? (i'm hopeing!!)
ok to fit a ze into an ae82 or 92 is not a major problem, however getting a ae92 type frontcut is an easier conversion
you'll have to decide if you are going to use the e series gearbox or the c series. the c series is easier as getting the correct driveshafts is a problem (you can't use the aw11 ones)
rear gearbox mount needs to be modified & intercooler has to be relocated.
the gearbox - you need to find a fwd s/c gearbox (not a hard feat) & swap the gearshift linkage over - this all just unbolts.using the c series gearbox is simplere - but you need to swap flywheel & cluches.
i think i have the wiring diagrams somewhere.

Its a targa roof
I won't be doing this work myself (no workshop or tools). The person who will (most likely) be doing it has done a number of corolla conversions from AE92/101 frontcuts, but hasn't done one from an AW11.
What i understand is i need to find a new gearbox, and then there is some custom fabrication for the IC and mounts. The clutch needs replacing anyway, so that shouldn't be a problem.
Thanks for the help.

i need some roof parts - is the roof complete?? pm me or send me some contact details & i'll tell you what i'm after.
which corolla are you using? ae82 or 92?
you may not have to find another gerabox - i may even be able to get you the linkage part from a supplier.
clutch is no big deal
