4AGE pod install

Hi guys,
Just a quick question regarding the installation of a pod type air filter onto a 4AGE in an AE82. Problem I can see is there is atleast one sensor that looks to be taking a reading directly from the top of the airbox. Do I need to retain this and should I just plumb it back into the airpipe once the pod is on or should it be done another way?
Sorry I know this question is a little 'simple' and has probably been asked before.
Cheers,
Blake

Sounds like an air temp sensor - Either make a decent, airtight place for it in the pipe you fit to install your lampshade (you ARE gonna fit a decent piece of pipe, not just stick it straight on the throttle, yeah??..), or if you like to be a tad bodgy, cable tie it to the outside of the lampshade (You may need to lengthen the wires...)

If possible I was planning on using the stock piping that connects the airbox to the throttle currently, however if this wont work I was planning to use a similar piece of piping that can accomodate the pod.
On closer inspection there are two sensors that take readings from the airbox, there is one outlet that two small rubber hoses go off to seperate sensors. One of the sensors sits mounted to the outside of the airbox and the other mounted on the firewall next to the strutt tower and has a sticker on it which says F (Vacuum). Upon disconnection of this tube from the airbox the car seem to run fine however I didnt test it for that long but it did idle fine.

the two pipes are for the idle up when the thermo fan or maybe air conditioner kicks in. What i did when i wacked a pod in my twinky was move the idle up valve near to throttle body mounted on "custom" bracket then bolted to the firewall. I extended the wires and used one of those cheap little air filters, the ones for engine breathers, got mine from autobahn. Maybe a couple of hours work and it wasn't what i call difficult. If you need any photots i can do it but might take a while. My unlimited love to you all...................chris
