What engine am i looking at????

Hey guys,
Ive just paused the serious performance 6 DVD to come ask you this question. When they go to the rigoli workshop, they have a purple corolla in the shop. Dom rigoli says it takes heaps of boost but it looks like an N/A 20valve. Or is it a 4agze...what's the deal??
for those that havent seen serious performance 6 it looks just like that 11.9 second ae92's engine (less work done of course).

The AE92 had a 4A-GZE block, 20-valve head and a big frigging turbo slapped on the side.  Dunno if it's the same engine though.

In this car?
If so, then yes it's a Turb'd 20V, although I'm not sure if it's using the GZE block or not..

Yep that's a 20V head... and I dare say a ZE bottom end below it.

Yes, it's in Sydney. Not sure who owns it though - I just took the pics at a car show late last year.

Hey guys, wow my first ever post. Anywya here goes.
Ok, it might be the one in the pic, or.......Is it Dominic Rigoli's fiance's car? (her name is Samantha) He has built her a corolla CSi, with the following:
4AGZE Block
Custom forged pistons
20-valve head
Garrett T03, modified exhaust housing
Turbonetics 42mm wastegate
Custom exhaust manifold
RB20 single throttle body (quad throttle bodies removed)
.....and a heap of other stuff.
Ok, heres the good bit
239kW at the wheels
12.1 second quaters
pretty good for a FWD

Looks like a different car to Samantha-Kilro Smiths one, but its probably done to the same formula - e.g. rigoli has done several of those datto utes, but seems to keep the same idea on them, because it worked so damned well the first time!

The one in the pic is definitely not Sam's car (wife now btw - not fiance anymore   )
I just posted that one up since it's a purple car, and the guy who made the first post said the car in the vid was purple. If that video was shot while the Rigoli workshop was still up in QLD, then it's probably not the same car as this one is down in NSW.

oh, silly me  , I didnt read the purple bit. But yeah, the engine package looks a bit the same, minus the throttle bodies.

Thanx for all the help guys. It wasnt that purple one, but simillar looking engine. I Think it may have been a sedan rolla.
What is the advantage of using th 20 valve heads and do they bolt straight onto a gze block??
