AE82 Opinions wanted

Ive just got the major rust done on my AE82 twin cam hatch, but it looks like from scratches and dents and so on that more will come up. This car will make rego in July and want to keep it until the end of next year before I buy another car, maybe even same model.
Theres a red one fro sale for $1000, with no rego. I could use and strip bonnet, front grill and bumper and maybe a couple of interior bits and pieces. Plus a door window. and fix and swap panels.
The engine isnt running.
Would it be worth buying taking the bits I need, keep it for a while and take parts as I need them then sell it.
Its the style of car I like, my car is running nicely now, just aesthetically it looks poor.
Please I value opinions!!!!

yes keep it if you like it but if your looking at getting another car to strip compare the cost of getting the parts you are after either new panels etc and interior second hand. seeing as the engine is no good then it will be hard to sell the shell on for anything but scrap.
what interior parts are you after i have a limited selection of spares in blue grey and brown..
if you can install all the parts yourself you can mail order them online. ill find the website i used to get all my parts since it was the cheapest i could find.
