Well, i suppose its about my turn to reply to one of these...
Firstly be prepared to spend 3k for a stocker, god knows why but thats about the going price.
Depending on your financial situation i suggest u get a slightly modified one as it will be much cheaper for you.
When buying check for rust in the hatch, wheel arches, and on the anywhere around the door..... well.. check the whole car...
Also.. SEARCH SEARCH SEARCH, these forums are an amazing source of information and whatever questions you have there is a 99% chance that they have been asked before.
That about does it i think
Cheers

firstly i did some search, but its hard to find what i want to know, or answer to my questions, what words should i put in as the keyword?
anyway i need some urgent advise as i will get the dead stock sprinter in a few days time, its done 280,000km is it a little bit too much? body in shit condition, from outside there are some rust, will have a look inside today
i will use the sprinter as a daily driver, now i am driving a 200sx, cost too much for fuel, so i need a cheap one to get me from a to b, may be later i will drop in a 20v when i get some spare cash
thanks

no no no, mine is just a standard sr20, but i use it as a everyday car, and i use to drive echo sportivo as a everyday car, so compare it this way, its a lot more expensive
and i have to park it everywhere, the body was perfect, but now with a few dents already, u know how people open there doors in the shopping centre
thats why i want a cheap car to run around, was looking at a honda city, but i found out the parts is expensive on that, and thought of corolla/sprinter.... and i can also build it up when i get some money, so i chose the sprinter, i think once i get the sprinter, i will sell the 200sx, and find something else
i just had a look at the sprinter, rust everywhere: in the boot, bonnet, etc, oil leaks under the engine and gear box, cracked dash, etc etc. and thats was asking $2000 with no rego, maybe i should find a better one? what do u think guys?

I was under the impression that the 4A-Cs aren't that great on fuel. I would get a Corolla for a day driver if I where you. Either that or a 4A-GE Levin or Trueno, but they are a bit more pricy.
But then don't take my advice, I own a CB 4G15 Lancer.

if your not particularily obsessed by sprinters (which you need to be to justify the expenses of having one) then just get a KE70 or AE71. virtually identical car chasis wise, everything you can do to a sprinter you can do to one of these. they are REALLY cheap and easy to get parts for and have the advatage of extra doors. they are very similar car mechanically just not to look at.
