What would I need to change if I put a 7MGTE in a GA70?

I'm not really sure but the things I'll get are the engine, tranny, computer and loom, AFM and the piping and intercooler. I'm not sure if I'll get the powersteering pumps and those things...will I need to change the radiator since I think the GA70 ones are smaller??? I gotta see if it's worth the conversion now or if I should wait til mine goes kaboom since I won't be able to sell my engine (122,000ks). Any info would be great thanks.

if u dont manage to get the power steer pump with the 7M u can use the 1G pump its the same, and i have a feeling they mount the same as well.
if its a front cut or engine package u should be getting all of the ancillaries, but make sure u check they are all there before u buy.
when i got my front cut we noticed the air con compressor was gone so they dropped the price, problem was, that when we got it home we found the starter motor was gone as well.
good luck with the conversion

Just one question:
Why go 7m-gte when you can do the same with 1jz-gte?

Will the 7M bolt straight in as far as engine mounts are concerned? If they do fit straight on the mounts, will there be enough space at the front and rear of the engine so as not to foul the radiator or firewall?
Same question as for a 1J from a JZA70 to a GA70, any ideas?

All Mk3 Supra's have the same chassis, so there will be no clearance issues. The crossmember and engine mounts were updated in 89 I think, so you need to make sure the engine you get has the right mounts to match your crossmember. The 1JZ has the later style mounts, the 1G has the early style, and the 7M has both.

So all 1G's have the old style even the post '89 models?
I don't spose u could swap X-members from one 7M/1J/1G

I think so.
And I believe that you can swap crossmembers

You certainly can swap crossmembers from 7m early to late to 1j etc. Also a good time to put some new bushes in the suspension whilst it's all out and easily accessible. Newer crossmembers have the round, fluid filled mounts. Older ones were square rubber bolcks with a little shock absorber bolted to the back of the engine.

Since the original post - car has put on 60,000kms.
In a few weeks I'll be able to confirm is the 89+ GA70's have the newer or older x-member.
Btw - ended up getting a JZA70 manual half cut. So thankyou to all you Toymodders who have answered my annoying questions.
