aw11 vs (updated 030704) Sun, 23 May 2004 14:11 Go to next message
just for anyone interested, my collection of street battles i can remember in the 3 months i've had my car, so people can compare, comment etc...

my car = standard aw11 s/c with HD clutch and bad 3rd gear syncros against

crx b16a: easy win
integra vtir: easy win
typeR: beat some and lose to some depending on driver
mx6 turbo stock: easy win
mx6 turbo 12psi: even on launch, i lost on rolling
tx5 turbo: easy win
VNs commo: easy win
familiar 4wd 10psi: lost
aw11 NA: easy win
20V ae82: easy win

and just for laughs, stock 03 STi with zorst: haha gave me like 1st gear headstart and still overtook me b4 third gear

just over the weekend.
hume hwy, beat a starlet gt 11psi both rolling and launching. wonder if its neone from here, i was actually surprise

st andrews, series 4 rx7, dunno if was turbo or not but had very rotarish sound to it. rolling first gear pretty even til 3rd i had to take easy and he pulled away

old shape wrx and r32GTR on hume hwy, i had no chance hehe, just anotha one for laughs

quite underated cars i reckon these aw11 s/c are, i bought it intending just to piss off excels and lancer, end up gave me quite a suprise. even alot of people suprise when i tell them its stock and dynoed at 82rwkw

yeah my engine duznt feel too bad, i havent done ne compression or ne other test yet. but there was a big restriction with the standard intake system on my car. as soon as the boot was open dyno shot straight to 86rwkw, but off course i dont count that as i dont drive with boot open. im gonna try relocate my air filter to engine bay behind battery as soon as i can find some piping that can do a hard bend straight after my afm

update
vs SSS
SSS at set of light on humehwy livapool on left lane
i actually wanted to have a go at the pulsar exa turbo on the right
neway light turns green and im waiting for the exa to launch but he didnt, SSS had already wheel spinning and i was like what the heck and rev my car up and launched aswell. was too easy, left the SSS for dead on a late launch.

later that night
aw11 vs gutter
punched it thru a roundabout 70k+ on exit as i changed direction the ass came out, let go of steering counterred it for a a split second b4 i let off the gas and it swung left again onto a kerb front wheel first then spun the rear 180 on the kerb aswell and i was sitting whole car on grass lookin back. both right rims were damaged and tyre deflated lucky not damaged
possible suspension damaged as it duznt corner same nomore

hey, very interesting results
i like your outlook on races, win some lose some. why hold a grudge?
i would of thought you would have beat the gtx familiar (10 psi) if you beat the likes of some of your other competitiors.

300604: finally borrowed a helmet and went out for first time to wsid hoping to kick some ass, damn i was wrong ended up winning only 1 of 5 races i had that night.

what happened to all those civic/lancer with exhaust and old stock falcodores like on the street???. even the only car i beat, a n/a N14 pulsar was running very quick low 15s that night. i lost to rigollis rex, blue typreR, vr/vs commy, and another white turbo aw11

neway the night i ran 14.924, 14.932, 14.935, 14.991 and a 15.214 with average 60' times of 2.11sec. terminal speed varied 140-152km/h depending how much wheel spin i launched at

for those who wasnt there that night, air temp was 13*C, i had half tank fuel, i was driver (110kg), no stereo

car is same stock 82rwkw aw11 s/c but i had a simota air filter relocated to engine bay. tyres were just standard dunlop A5 stuff 185/60/14

after 2 and half hr and couldnt crack a 14.8 i gave up and planning to return next time with 164mm pully. was told to lower my tyre pressure aswell prolly will try it next time hopefully shave a few tenths of those times

overall i was happy with result, i can actually brag my car is a 14sec car now even it barely made it there hehe. was very fun night i really enjoyed legal racing will definately return

his times varied alot coz he had problems, but he was doin low 12s the week before
when he raced against me his engine twisted and coz the turbo was too close to firewall it hit and came loose, thats what my friend told me
neway came back jacked the car up and fixed it and i think someone told me he did 11s.
