ok guys i know its not a toyota but here we go, ive just inherited a VH commodore with a 253 in it behind it the stock 4 spd and shit like that, im looking at puttin a toyota box in it, i currently have a w58 i think it is its off a 21R-C corona sittin here at home will this bolt up to the 253 bellhousing
any help would be great

I'm guessing it's probably a W57 you've got, but no dramas. The stock housing won't fit at all, you'll need to either make an adapter plate, or get one of the aftermarket kits for fitting a W box to a Holden V8. Talk to either Dellows or Castlemaine Rod Shop - note also that Dellows come in NO way recommended by me personally, although they HAVE been making the Holden kits for many years and they seem to work a little better than some others they make...

It will NOT bolt up without the use of a suitable bellhousing (dellow do one). It is infinitely superior to the aussie 4 speed that comes standard with the 253 commonwhore.
