Ok how can i stop the engine from turning over while I try and loosed the harmonic balancer/crank pully???

you can jam a screwdriver in the ring gear, you can jam a screwdriver in the flywheel holes, you can bolt a chain to the flywheel, you can stick it in 5th, or you can use the toyota sst.
