sc14 pics and info Wed, 26 May 2004 09:53 Go to next message
Im after some pics of a sc14 and any info people have on them...I wanna use one on a 18rgeu just to be different from the turbo upgrades. Can I just mount it above the exhaust manifold and run it on a fan belt of the waterpump??? Im gonna be chasing around the 300hp mark if thats gettable... Main concerns are plumping it and belts to run it...dont wanna get new pulleys if i dont beed to. Mount it is easy though.

What pics do you want?

No reason why you cant mount it above the exhaust manifold, although some heat sheilding (ceramic coat exhaust?) would benefit cold air induction.

No you cant simply stick another pulley on the water pump, the vee-belt driving the water pump from the crank will slip like all buggery when the supercharger is running. There is a reason why Toyota use a 5 rib serpentine belt to drive the SC14.

I recall reading about the use of a 2Y bottom pulley (crostek posted) somewhere in this forum.

Have a play on Desktop Dyno etc and see how achieveable 300HP is.

Some nice reading:

I dont know if you have searched yet (Toymods), but there is a ton of info on the SC14.
