What is the axle code for the RA60 Celica i have found some where that it is an 'F'. is this axle interchangeable with the earlier axle used on the TA22-RA28? . i know the widths are different but do the suspension mounting points line up? Also where is the Id number printed on the axle or diff housing? i have an axle assembly whole and out of a car but i cant find the codes printed on it anywhere, (its still dirty tho).

All live-axle RA60 Celicas have T series diffs (at least all the ones I've seen). Some SA63 and RA65 Celicas have F series diffs, but they all have IRS which obviously is not interchangeable with earlier live-axle Celicas.
I don't think the axle code is stamped anywhere on the axle housing, you have to look at the build plate in the engine bay to find that.

I think if you have a diff and don't know what it is out of it is hard to find out. if it is a RA60, it should be a 4.1:1 and will also have sway bar mounts. The 23/28/40 difs didn't have these I think. I have a ra60 rear axle setup in my shed so if you need to know I could look over it for you.

IF they sort of follow Mk2 Supra convention in Aus, I think you may find the manual RA60's had a 3.9:1 (like mine) and the auto's may have had 4.1:1...
Can anyone with auto RA60 confirm this?
