Ra60 for the 21rc and id say 21ru is just a extension of the 21rc the same the 18ru is a extension of the 18rc. But i doubt the 21ru is australian

Thanks for the reply's guys.
A friend has a 21RU in a old Hilux ute, he got the engine from a wreckers and they told him that it come from a Corona and that it was a Jap engine. I'm trying to find what Oz cars it come in so he can get a workshop Manual for it.

doesnt the u just mean more emissions....i had a 18ru engine it was identical to a 18rc except more emissions...possibly the same for the 21rc and 21ru..

U = universal
C = Californian
Which means the U should have less emissions as i dont think anyone has tighter emission laws than california

Nope, U means Japanese emissions equipment, he was right the first time.
