Just wondering what the differences are between the 2 different ones. I have ra40 struts in my ta23 and am going disk brakes on the rear so should i up grade from my standard ta23 brake booster to maybe a ra40 one..What are my other options that are easy to access

You will need a bigger dia. m/c to push the additional brake fluid that the rear calipers need. Now I think a TA23 has a 11/16 m/c while the RA40 is a 13/16, but you would know better.
Another option to consider is to research your local brake specialist to see if your std ta23 m/c can be bored out to a greater dia, say 15/16 and re-kitted with a std kit and then you have the best of both worlds. I have done this for my RA23 with 4 pot hilux front calipers, using a SA63 15/16 m/c bored out to 1 inch. Heaps better than the original 13/16 unit.
