Is this a authentic AE82 TwinCAM 16 or not?
I'm not too crash hot with telling the difference.

copy the VIN number down and go to the department of transport. ask them what it is.
there's also a mob you can ring and for like $10 they give you a full history of the car. regency??? i dunno.

Yea, friend actually wanted to know, I'll tell him to go do that. Not sure as the TWINCAM 16 decals arent on the sides of the car, either this car might have had a respray or something. Unsure.

Check the engine plate on the firewall and look at the engine type... If it's a genuine Twinky, then it should have 4AGE printed on the plate...

It doesn't look like it to me. Grille and bumper are different for starters..
I suppose it could've had an accident at some stage and had them replaced with easier to find parts, but if you had a genuine twinky, why would you want to replace the grille with one from a CS or SE model?

not all twinkies have fully colour coded bumpers and door strips.. i got an 86 model.. well they did look like the bumpers, like the one in the pic... black in the middle, and strips on the doors...
yeah, you can tell by dash, and see if there's a rear hatch spoiler also...

I know, but he's so certain that it is one, its quite amusing. Now that I've been looking at other Twinkys, it certainly isnt one...
*About the price, this is a used car dealer we're talking about. Overpriced+++
