WA: Get Your Rego Papers Out!!!

On every car with a WA registration, there is a figure called the RAC Horsepower. This figure determines the ease of modification when related back to engine transplants. I"d like a list of engines and their RAC Horsepower figures, specifically the JZA70, and JZA80 Supras please? List away?!

You'll find it on your rego papers amongst the year, weight, colour, make and model info!

Hmmmm, obviously some rego papers have them and some don't?! A quick flick through my many rego papers reveals the following RAC Horsepower figures:
AE86 Sprinter with 4AC: 16
KA Laser with E5: 14
BF Mazda 323with E5 Turbo: 14
XA Falcon with 302 Cleveland: 51
XA GT Falcon with 351 Cleveland: 51
If your rego papers have the figure, it will be in the very left hand column immediately under the "Make" description.

Yes it's wank, but it's still used to determine engine conversion viability and engineering requirements, from the DPI!

The 162 and 205 should have the same RAC horsepower because they have basically the same block. The RAC horsepower isn't a real measure of power but a rather fictional number derived from the bore of the cylinders (in inches) and the number of cylinders.
More here if you're interested.
