They are legal as long as they are only single tone! The ones that play tunes are illegal!

Yeah, these two above have it spot on. Air-horns are funny...so loud with a note so ... unique.

Hahaha, that is so awesome! I used to have two on my old Starion because the original horn didn't work.

Clever people who resprayed the bumper decided not to cover the compressor over when they did it, and filled it up with paint...never worked properly.

At least it received a bit of Toyota quality with a Supra horn!

i know of a few people who get away with having the musical ones and thats have a normal horn hooked up to the horn button on the steering wheel then wire up a second switch on the dash which operates the musical hornes,

has anyone heard some horns that go par-par-par-par-par-etc... instead of one loooong note? its like one note repeated quickly with staccatto accents.
Heard one on a passing blood donor car as it zoomed up the parking lane during peak hour. Sure caught my attention!

are these legal and how much are they?

cheers

The single tone air horns are perfectly legal!
Ben, The AU falcons have the option of air horns! I got them fitted to my futura when I bought it! They are an option to warn slow holden drivers to get out of the way!
Ever seen the brute ute series? They have them fitted! The fords need them cause those holden utes are slow as!

Brett, Sorry I have only seen in two stores here and they both have them!

Ben, you might as well but first i sugest you find out who spends the most money on what cars first! The brute ute challenge is a regulated form of motorsport so it sort of proves which is a better car(ute)!

I know that HRT is one of the biggest teams in the series but in this world, money is everything... I watched some drag racing thing a while ago and it had celebrity races in Commodore utes... They were pulling 14's but these times were done with novice drivers... Do you know what the spec times are???

I think I have seen the Claxtons horns in a ad in hot4s or fastfours.
I found the ad but no Claxtons horns, but they might have been in another ad before anyway they have a website and here it is https://www.americanautos.com.au so have fun looking.

My mate said that he thinks his dad got his Claxtons horn from there for around $120ish.
