AE86 Hilux Brake Ugrade

Alright, for my sprinter im toying with the Hilux brake upgrade as i got a set of calipers cheap, and the XT130 struts too. But i noticed that the Corona stub axle is slightly larger than the 86's. Can i merely use different bearings for this, or do i have to get corona hubs/washers/endnuts?

Sure thats cool. But it doesnt say what bearings to use. The bearings off my Sprinter dont fit the XT130 strut by about 2-3mm nor does the notched washer or locknut.
I know all the rest of the stuff, just need to find appropriate bearings or XT130 hubs.

Yeah, i have checked the weight Simon.
It does weigh a fair bit extra, but getting brakes big enough to last 100km stages is hard enough let alone with discs that arnt going to die faster than JFK.
I was considering Z32, 200SX (are these z32s?), or even RX7s but i managed to pickup a hilux caliper cheap, and am toying with it (and the discs which Adam has loaned me). Ill probably put together another set with 200SX calipers too to compare weight.
As for why i didnt get Corona hubs it was because a friend decided to go for RA60s rather than the Hilux's and so i got the struts off him cheap.

From what I've seen 200SX's have big cast iron calipers which I imagine are pretty heavy. You're better off with the R32/Z32 alloy 4-spots which are huge but quite light.

Ah so there is a difference. Ive only seen 200SX calipers since we have a pair at work from MYSHOW. Im not sure that i want to go the R32 calipers or not. We have a set of Brembo 200SX calipers too at work maybe i should go those
We shall see, i already have a buyer for the HiLux's if i need to sell them.

FWIW I have a pair of R32 calipers for sale if you decide to go that way.

the hilux upgrade is pretty damn heavy but i think the pros outweigh the cons. obviously a lighter setup is ideal but its pretty good for the price.
