cars in scandinavia. Sat, 29 May 2004 21:30 Go to next message
here in scandinavia cars suck. they are either new or rusty, nobody has any sports cars, ive been here a month and ive seen a few 944 porsches and 1 911, one MA70, and a few merc coupe's. everyone else drives hatchbacks or family cars, (i can see thier point though with fuel being 1.20€ per litre) they put salt on the roads in winter so rust is rampant, there are a few ricey attemps at family cars i have seen but bugger all moded cars.
Also they have all corollas ever released here in two door form common as four doors in Aus, the KE70 coupes are cool in that T-18 SE sort of way. also the AE82 coupes are cool except for the headlight arrangement. They have mazda 323 2 doors everywhere which look the same as familiars but are only front wheel drive, and all the crusty datto's\nissans they stopped selling in Aus were sold for a lot longer here, like the sunny and the bluebird, there are also alot of Lada's which are constantly blowing up and falling apat ect they are very amusing. also all the little cars made by fiatand renault ect are very funny lookin. I am suffering from serious supra withdrawals, the small glimpse i got of an MA70 will keep me going for a bit but for how long............
also of interest is they have a bunch of toyotas we dont have like carinas and some others ive seen but not noticed the name. unfortunately though they are all small front wheel drive type deals, if you like moded cars ect do not move here.

You will find an MA61 Nod I belive they were shipped out with the 5M-E as well in Sweden Laughing though rusty it maybe like our American Cousins, so now you can complain about the rusty car, not just the tailgate Razz

Hope you find a ride soon.

Cheers.
