I bought this car unfinished in March 03 and finally got it on the road in Feb 04. I have been waiting all this time to give it a run down the quarter.
It used to run on 5 cylinders, got that fixed had a shitload of RWC issues before getting it on the road. I took it to powercruise a month ago for its first ever event and i killed my diff and then on the way home got a short and my headlights are not working.
I didn't get the headlights fixed in time (because it costs heaps!) so I had to trailor it down to willowbank.
I just got my twin pipes and boost controller installed this week and it has been running fine since Wednesday. I drove it yesterday morning to get petrol and all was fine.
I put the car on the trailor and it was running perfectly and has been so since wednesday when the twin pipes were installed.
Arrive at Willowbank after a 2 hour drive and start it and there is some fucking loud tapping noise. We thought it sounded like it was coming from the top so we pulled the coils out and took the cam covers off and cranked it over but the noise stopped. (no spark)
Put it all back together and it now makes a screeching sound as well as the tapping so I have been told that is quite likely to be the water pump or alternator as they are the only things on the fan belt now. Or possibly a gudgeon pin because the tapping is quick.
I think I have the worst luck in the world.
Oh yeah, and then the zipper broke on my TRD jacket.
Not fucking happy jan

Was a very shit day for many of us, you moreso than anyone by far.. there were a whole of 1 toymods person actually driving because... my car wasnt ready.. nicks car wasnt ready and yours was had said problems.
soo.. you fix your car and headlights.. and nick and i will actually get ours back.. get a few others and try again

hi chris,
sorry you day went from bad to worse ...
i was going to suggest water pump - as usually the carbon-seal bearings make a gawdawful squeal when they're stuffed. is there any leakage from the pump's weep hole (should be hole in the casting on underside of pump.
did you try disabling coils/plugs one-at-time to see if tappet noise goes with the low-comp cylinders?
i'm assuming that this is the third recent bad thing, hence you're now due for 3 good things...?
maybe on next visit to mechanic, you set rev limiter to 2k ?

i know how u feel man
i had a day when i crashed my car ,went to sleep woke up and noticed i had locked the keys in there,then after fixing that i found out how dodgy japan's r that they dnt make spare tyre's that fit the car.
