Yes you can. On some engines it's fairly easy (eg 4A-GE), on others it's a huge PITA (eg 3S-GTE).

Conversion was pretty straight forward. Everyone will tell you to search for info on it, and that's what i did, but every article I found on it had it's flaws. Just had to use a bit of every article and suss out the rest myself. I was actually thinking of doing my own article on it.
i have some good contacts now for the custom bits required to make the conversion heaps easy and you don't have to run your radiator hoses over your extractors so I can probably help you out with that side of it. There may even be a relocation kit for the distributor to be front-mounted on the cam wheel in the pipeline.
Aust162 - Thanks man! Finally the dream is coming to fruition!!
Yes, the 20V has quads standard. The extractors are a custom 4-1 design.

Thanks WITZL. I believe we WERE discussing the FWD to RWD conversion. I have a few pics of what I had to do the prep the engine to go in and of the custom cooling system plates/outlets prior to fitment and actually on the engine before it went in. When I've got some spare time I'll write up the whole lot so hopefully it will help out some other bastard doing the same thing in teh fyoochah.

The answer may have been 42...but what was the question ?
anyone in melb, or does anyone know a workshop/forum member etc that could help a guy out with making up some engine mounts?
I want to put a 4AGE and 5spd into a 1976 Mazda 1300 (no I dont want a rotary....this is my daily!)

Hey Youngy,
Yeah, I will when I finish the whole thing which should be within the next 2 weeks. I got a couple of decent pics of the back of the engine before it went in which should be helpful for others. I'm also gonna get in touch with Allan again to get him to make up a front top outlet that has 2 smaller pipes instead of 1, one for thermostat bypass, the other for one of the heater hoses. Got the RWD 4AGE water pump pulley from Toyota today (#$^@#%!!! just realised it's a FWD one!) so the cooling system is complete.
That article was by far the most helpful, I might add!
Cheers,
Jeremy.
