I own a 5M-E again!

And it's broken! Woohoo!!
I can't believe how cheap MA61's are these days. It turns out it was cheaper to buy another one than it would be to fix my car's various problems (rust, panel damage, bodgy interior, broken P/S and A/C, the list goes on). I scored a straight, almost rust-free, running (just), white-with-ghey-pinstripe MA61 Supra. It comes complete with pink windscreen wipers and - wait for it - a set of near-new retreads!!
My task for this week is to find out why the 5M-E is running on 5 cylinders. Either that or just throw it in the bin. Any tips?

Nutters. But I'm starting to like this plan. Who has a NOS setup I can borrow? I'd like to have a crack at a 13 second quarter in my 5M-E Supra. Reckon it can be done?

Stuff that - Just blow the fucking thing up on your front lawn. Pull the couches out, grab a few beers, set up a fuel pump and let the meltdown begin!
Carn, DO IT!

Yeah well, whatever... Just put it on the track and pump ridiculous amounts of NOS into it!
I don't care what you do, but whatever it is, make sure it involves the graphic execution of that engine and is filmed.

Wouldnt it be a shame if a properly setup 300hp shot did not kill it that would really annoy some people heheheh

I would take the rev limiter off it, put a after market tacho on it, and see how close to 11,000 rpm it will get before it stops going.

I don't think many completely stock 20yo engines would survive a 300 shot, and certainly not a 5M with its glass headgasket!

I'm with WITZL. We're gonna personally come up there and force you to commit the most heinous crimes imaginable against this poor friggin engine - until it DIES DIES DIES!
Just remove the bonnet before you put that 300 shot through -After all, you don't wanna f*ck a decent bonnet by firing pistons etc through it.

I'm seriously going to do this if I can find someone who will loan me their NOS setup; I'm not going to fork out thousands of dollars just for (probably) a few seconds fun!
Blake, I haven't decided yet if I'm going to part out the blue Supra or sell it as a complete car. If I'm parting it out I'll let you know.

just goto to your nearest small town hospital or dentist and "borrow" a bottle a long length of tubing shoved in the intake. Just watch the regulator as you turn up the BAR to see how much you get flowing in there before the piston makes love to the block

Ah, Norbie isn't aware of the curse of the 5M. That's why I suggested binning it. If you hurt it, it will hurt you back.

The curse of the 5M you say? Is that why my first 5M decided to expire in the middle of fricking nowhere, halfway up the mountain when I was driving to Toowoomba?

Seriously dude give it to someone you hate and suggest that they blow it up. Seriously it's like smashing a mirror whilst you spill salt whilst walking under a ladder as a black cat crosses your path.
