Well, i'm heading down that way on Sunday most likely, and i'm always up for a run through the National Park, count me in!
I can drag along some other vehicles too if you guys are interested. Approx. how many cars at this stage?
The coast road from Stanmore tops to The Gong is still closed, but that doesn't mean you can't go through the National Park.... why would you go any other way?!?!
The meeting is a little late though, doncha think? With stops, your not going to get down to the Gong till late. Again, depends upon how many cars are going.

Well due to car problems on the way down, got to the Gong at around 4pm...
Yet on the way home, car had no problems at all... It's shitting me to tears...
The problem being overheating, some days it goes to overheat, other days it's fine...

Stanwell/Stanmore, same difference right?!
Well, I was there with a few friends - we saw you guys at Maccas, but we were heading in for some munchies as you arrived, so we took our time as we didn't want to get caught behind all those Datto's!!!
Had quite a good run through the first half of the park, although got caught behind a V8 Holden barge and some motorcycles on 'Stage 2'.
Had a run in what has to be the ultimate(?!) Toymod at Stanwell tops though... this thing was PHENOMENAL! 1600 Toyota 20V under the bonnet, and an kerb weight of about 540kg = awesome acceleration and braking, and simply collosal grip through the twisties. It sounded fantastic too! I've been in and driven some fast cars before, but this thing was QUICK!
We traded details, so he may come out on another cruise if anyone wants to see this thing in action (it will only be a glimpse, since NOTHING will stay with it on a windy road, including a guy on a rather modded GSXR 750. He ended up having a joy ride too!)

We then headed up the escarpment (Macquarie Pass) which was a great run, road was slightly damp on some of the hairpins which added alot to the enjoyment.

thats a prb clubman. my mate has a prb clubman which looks the same as that one and its got the 16v motor in it not the 20v one as that does but his got a TRD bottom end and got a high-brid turbo on it.and its the only turbo'd one round. Now that is QUICK

Yep, PRB Clubman! Alot of people mistake them for Elfin's, as they old ones are just like this.
According to the owner, there are a few turbo's running around, however his was what you would call 'stock' - basic suspension, adjustables, but not Koni's. It wasn't the fastest straight line car i've been in, although it was up there, but the cornering speeds where enormous. I can see why people would just bigger power, but to my mind it would take something away from the cornering, as you would be constantly countering wheelspin, particularly out of tight turns. The throttle was more 'nailable' in this one...
