4AC(ough)

My sisters Seca with a 4AC is coughing and spluttering under load. It revs fine in neutral just going up hills and stuff it starts to suffer.
My first suggestion was fuel filter but she reckons she replaced it recently. Plugs and leads are also new.
My next guess is dizy or carby.
Can anyone shed some light if they have had similar problem with the 4AC and possible fixes.
Regs.

Hmm no help but im in same situation..
Have a 4AC that I am trying to spend no money on..
I have replaced :
Spark plugs, leads, dizzy cap, rotor button, points, condensor and it still misses under load!
Giving me the shits .. Figure maybe the carby is stuffed.

for elec dizzies, the ignitor dies slowly and causes problems..
another common one for me is the EGR system... the valve gets blocked and stays partially open so exhaust and intake are partially connected (can't be a good thing). sucks to clean tho.. screwdriver and patience..

my guess would be the carby my 82 does this abit when cold and its usually cause of the carby that and the auto choke is a bit dicky me best advice would be to adjust the timing a lil first and try the dizy they are a lil easier and not that time consuming if all else fails buy a carby kit from repco or somewhere and Spend the day pulling out the carby and replacing springs seals etc etc
