Hi Guys!
I am currently looking into a project involving an engine swap for my RA65 Celica. I am not sure if I should replace the stock 22R-E engine with the 1G-GTE or the 3T-GTEU engine. If you have any recommendations or do's and don'ts please let me know. Keep in mind that I live in Canada and getting parts from Japan might be a problem. Thanks.

Hi Jordan, I'm looking to do the same thing soon also. I 1st have to buy the car tho But was going to go for a RA60 or 65, depends what i can find. Then i was going to give it the 1G-GTE treatment. It seems to be a fairly simple replacement, so why bother with the 3T? As far as spare parts go you should be able to just order it thru Toyota (correct me if i'm wrong guys)
So i reccomend the 1G-GTE, they are also dirt cheap now, and easy to come by, i've been quoted A$1000 for everything i need to make one run, and this includes the motor

I'd recommend the 3T-GTEU simply because of parts availability.
Either that or buy two 1G-GTEs so that you have parts...
If you have the time and money, you could go the 3S-GTE....
